Tips for faster help
If something is not working, a few details help us sort it out quickly:
- Your iPhone or iPad model and iOS version (Settings › General › About), and your Apple Watch model and watchOS version if the problem is on the watch
- The FeedKit version, shown at the bottom of Settings in the app
- What you were doing when it happened, and a screenshot if something looks wrong
Common questions
How do I log a feed?
On the Feed tab, tap the big Feed button and choose Breastfeeding, Bottle or Solid Food. For breastfeeding, pick the side (FeedKit suggests the one due next) and tap Start timer; when you are done, tap the circle, which now says Stop & Save. For a breastfeed that is already over, tap Enter manually instead. For a bottle or solids, tap Enter details, set the amount and tap Save feed. Your recent feeds and favorites appear under Repeat, so logging the same bottle or solids again takes one tap, and a breastfeed there starts the timer on that side.
I started the timer late. Can I fix the start time?
Yes. While the timer is running, tap the start time shown under it, for example “Started 7:26 PM”, and set when the feed really began. The timer and the Lock Screen update straight away. The start can be moved back up to 24 hours. If you started the timer by mistake, tap Discard.
How do I switch sides during a feed?
While one side is being timed, tap Switch to Right (or Switch to Left) under the timer on the Feed tab. FeedKit saves the side you just finished and starts timing the other; the two still count as one feed. Switched by mistake? Tap Undo in the banner that appears. You can also switch from the Lock Screen or the Dynamic Island, where the running feed has buttons to switch sides and to stop and save, from Apple Watch, or by saying “Switch sides in FeedKit”. For the next feed, FeedKit suggests the side opposite to where the last one started and shows “Last feed started: Left” under the sides.
How do I edit or delete a feed I already saved?
Open the History tab and tap the feed to change its time, type, duration, amount or note, then tap Save feed. To delete it, swipe it to the left and tap Delete, or tap the trash icon at the top right while editing it. An Undo button stays for 10 seconds in case you deleted it by mistake.
When does FeedKit show when the next feed is due?
Once your baby's rhythm is clear, the Feed tab shows “Next feed around 9:40 PM” under the last feed. That usually takes a day or two of logging, and a fairly regular rhythm. Until then, while a feed is being timed, or when nothing has been logged for 12 hours, it stays hidden rather than guess. A side switch or a top-up bottle counts as part of the same feed. The same estimate appears on the medium widget, on Apple Watch and in Siri's answer. With Premium, Statistics also shows the next few feeds and how sure each estimate is.
How do feeding reminders work?
Open Settings › Reminders in FeedKit and switch on Feeding Reminders; the first time, tap Turn On Reminders and allow notifications. Under Remind me, After a set time reminds you 2, 3, 4 or 6 hours after each feed ends; it is free. Smart, part of Premium, learns when your baby usually feeds at each time of day and reminds you just before, or right on time. Quiet at night is on unless you switch it off, so there are no reminders between 10 PM and 6 AM; switch it off if you have been told to wake your baby for feeds. From a reminder, tap Log Now or Snooze 15 min. Daily Summary sends a recap of the day in the evening, at the time you choose.
Can I use Siri or the Action Button?
Yes, and it is free. Say “Start a feed in FeedKit”, “Switch sides in FeedKit”, “Stop the feed in FeedKit”, “Log a bottle in FeedKit” or “When was the last feed in FeedKit”. They work even while your iPhone is locked. Start a feed times a breastfeed on the side FeedKit suggests, and Log a bottle asks how much. If more than one baby has been fed lately, Siri asks which one. On an iPhone with an Action Button, open the Settings app, tap Action Button, choose Shortcut and pick Start a Feed from FeedKit. The same actions are in the Shortcuts app.
Can I track more than one baby?
Yes, and it is free. Go to Settings › Baby Profiles and tap Add Baby. Once you have more than one, switch between them with the menu at the top left of the Feed, History and Statistics screens. Each baby has their own feeds, statistics and weights.
How does Family Sharing work?
Starting a family is part of Premium; joining one is free. Open Settings › Family Sharing, tap Create Family and give it a name, then tap Invite Family Member and send the link to your partner or caregiver. Anyone with the link can join, so only send it to people you trust. Everyone needs to be signed in to iCloud, and with more than one baby, give each the same name on every phone. Shared feeds are stored in the iCloud account of the person who created the family and shared through Apple's CloudKit, never on our servers. To join, open the link on your iPhone. If that does not open the family, go to Settings › Family Sharing, tap I Have an Invite — Join Free (or Join Family, if you have Premium), tap Paste to insert the link, then tap Join Family. When you open FeedKit after a while away, the Feed tab shows what the others logged in the meantime. If you created the family, you can remove someone: swipe left on their name, tap Remove and confirm. They stop receiving the family's feeds, and the feeds they logged stay; the invite link still works, so don't send it to them again. If you open an invite while you are already in a family, FeedKit asks before you join, because joining stops sharing with the first one. To stop sharing, tap Leave Family and confirm; if you created the family, it is removed for everyone. Feeds already on your iPhone stay.
Does FeedKit work on Apple Watch?
Yes, with Premium. The watch app opens on the Now page: your baby's name, how long since the last feed, when the next one is likely, and buttons to start timing the left or right side (the side due next is marked “next”) or to log your usual bottle. While a feed runs, tap Switch to Right (or Left) to change sides, or Stop & Save to finish; it is the same timer as on your iPhone. With two or more children, tap the name at the top to choose which child you are logging for. Swipe for recent and favorite feeds, every feed type and your history. If your iPhone is out of reach, the watch keeps what you log and sends it later. It needs watchOS 10 or later.
How do I add the FeedKit widget?
The Last Feed widget is free. Open FeedKit once first, so the widget has your feeds to show. On the Home Screen, touch and hold an empty area until the apps jiggle, tap Edit in the top-left corner and choose Add Widget (on iOS 17, tap the + button instead), search for FeedKit, swipe to the small or medium size and tap Add Widget. For the Lock Screen, touch and hold the Lock Screen, tap Customize, choose the Lock Screen, tap the widget area under the clock and choose FeedKit. The widget shows how long ago the last feed was, or the timer of a running feed. The medium size also shows today's feeds and, once FeedKit is sure enough of your baby's rhythm, when the next feed is likely. If you gave a bottle in the last month, the medium widget shows it with its amount: tap it to log the same bottle without opening the app, or tap + to open FeedKit and log any feed. Otherwise it shows Log feed. While a feed runs, Stop ends the timer and saves the feed without opening the app. With more than one baby, touch and hold the widget, tap Edit Widget and pick the baby; otherwise it follows the baby selected in FeedKit.
Can I export feeds for my pediatrician?
Yes. On the History tab tap the share button at the top right, or on Statistics open the … menu. Spreadsheet of every feed (CSV) is free and includes everything you have logged. Report for your doctor (PDF) is part of Premium, and your first one is free: the last two weeks day by day, with feeds, night feeds, breast, bottle and solids totals, the longest gaps and weight. Send it with Mail, Messages or AirDrop, or save it to Files. The export covers the baby who is currently selected. With Premium, Generate AI Prompt at the bottom of Statistics sums up your baby's feeding, ready to copy or share into the AI assistant you use; FeedKit never sends it anywhere itself.
Do I need an account? Where is my data stored?
No account is needed. Your babies, feeds, weights and settings are stored on your iPhone or iPad and are included in its normal backup. We do not run servers that store your data, and the app contains no analytics or advertising SDKs. Only if you use Family Sharing are your feeds, a feed being timed, and your baby's name and birth date shared through iCloud. The privacy policy has the details.
How do I restore my purchase on a new iPhone?
Your subscription belongs to your Apple Account, not to one phone. Sign in with the same Apple Account and Premium normally switches on by itself; if it does not, open Settings › Upgrade to Premium in FeedKit and tap Restore Purchases. A Family plan also covers everyone in your Apple family. To bring your feeds along too, set up the new iPhone from a backup of the old one.
Is there a free trial?
Yes, for new subscribers: Premium is free for 1 week on the monthly plans and for 2 weeks on the six-month and yearly plans. When your Apple Account can still get a trial, the paywall shows how long it lasts and a Start free trial button. FeedKit reminds you 2 days before the trial ends. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end, the trial becomes a paid subscription and your Apple Account is charged; you can cancel the same way as any subscription, see below.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are handled by Apple. In FeedKit, open Settings › Premium Active and tap Manage Subscription. Or open the Settings app on your iPhone, tap your name, then Subscriptions, choose FeedKit and tap Cancel Subscription. Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date; Premium stays active until the end of the period you paid for. Afterwards, Settings in FeedKit shows the date your Premium ended, Night Friendly and Pastel Baby go back to System, smart reminders fall back to a set time, and a family you created is paused until you renew. Refund requests also go through Apple, at reportaproblem.apple.com.
How do I delete my data?
If you use Family Sharing, start with Settings › Family Sharing › Leave Family and confirm: if you created the family, this deletes the shared family data from iCloud for everyone; if you joined someone else's, the feeds you shared stay in their iCloud. Delete single feeds by swiping them in History, or with the trash icon while editing one. To remove a baby and every feed and weight recorded for them, open Settings › Baby Profiles, choose the baby and tap Delete Baby; this cannot be undone, and in a family the feeds are also removed from the other phones. Deleting the FeedKit app removes everything it stored on your device. We keep no copy of your data, so there is nothing to delete on our side.
Is there a theme for night feeds?
Yes. Open Settings › Theme in FeedKit. System, Light, Dark and High Contrast are free. Premium adds Night Friendly, a warm, dim design for 3 a.m., and Pastel Baby. With Premium you can also turn on Night Friendly at night, and FeedKit switches to it by itself from 10 PM to 6 AM.
How do I change the app's language?
Open Settings › Language in FeedKit and pick English, Polski, Русский, Українська, Deutsch, Français, Español, Português, العربية, 繁體中文, Nederlands, Ελληνικά, Tiếng Việt, Italiano, 日本語, 한국어, Türkçe, Svenska, Čeština or עברית, or System to follow your iPhone's language. The change applies immediately, no restart needed.
Which devices does FeedKit support?
iPhone with iOS 17 or later, and iPad with iPadOS 17 or later. On iPhone, a running feed also shows as a Live Activity on the Lock Screen, and in the Dynamic Island on iPhones that have one, with buttons to switch sides and to stop and save. The Apple Watch app, part of Premium, needs watchOS 10 or later. The Last Feed widget works on the Home Screen and the Lock Screen.
